Watch Dogs Β· Volume 2 of 3Watch Dogs 2 - The Complete 100% Walkthrough
All 15 Main Operations, all 22 Side Operations, every Key Data file, all 56 trophies including the Platinum, and every piece of DLC β paid and free. Written for the base game plus Season Pass (Human Conditions, No Compromise) on PS4/Xbox One/PC; there's no native current-gen version, but performance differences don't affect the checklist.
1. What "100%" Means in Watch Dogs 2
Marcus Holloway gets framed by Blume's own predictive-policing algorithm and joins DedSec to prove the whole system is rigged β then spends the rest of the game running a pop-art hacktivist crime spree across the real Bay Area. Watch Dogs 2 (Ubisoft Montreal, 2016) keeps this site's open-world approach: a main-path walkthrough for the story, full checklists for anything with a genuinely confirmed complete list, and honest category summaries for anything too large or unreliable to enumerate.
Finishing this guide's ledgers means clearing:
- 15 Main Operations (53 named missions between them), from the opening ctOS hack to Blume's takedown.
- 56 trophies (1 Platinum, 1 Gold, 20 Silver, 34 Bronze) β the Platinum needs only the base 50; 6 more come from Human Conditions, No Compromise, and the free Showd0wn update.
- 22 Side Operations β DedSec storylines outside the main plot, plus the Zodiac Killer as separate DLC bonus content.
- 24 Key Data files (skill unlocks) and 112 Research Points (skill-tree currency) β two different collectibles, different marker colors, easy to conflate.
- 57 ScoutX landmark photos (only 25 needed for the trophy) and 10 Garden Gnomes (a pure easter egg with its own outfit reward).
- 18 named Driver SF fares, 10 Drone Races, 7 eKart Races, and 6 Motocross Races.
- 6 trophies tied to online/multiplayer activities β all optional, casual, and doable with a boosting partner (Β§14).
Tip. Nothing here is missable the way a story-gated level can be β San Francisco, Oakland, and Silicon Valley all stay open before and after the credits, and every side-content category can be cleaned up at your own pace.
Spoiler policy
Main Operations get a line each below. The Horatio, DuΕ‘an Nemec, and Blume-takedown beats stay unspoiled.
2. How to Use This Guide
Like this site's other open-world guides, Watch Dogs 2 doesn't use inline collectible badges. Instead:
- The main path (Β§7) is a table of all 15 Operations and their 53 sub-missions, in story order.
- Fixed-location content with a genuinely confirmed complete list β Side Operations, Key Data, Garden Gnomes, Driver SF, Drone Races, eKart Races, Motocross Races β gets a full checklist table (Β§9-Β§13).
- Content with an honest total but no reliable per-item list β Research Points (112) and ScoutX Sights (57) β gets a category summary instead (Β§10-Β§11), the same treatment this site gives any collectible pool too large or too uncertain to enumerate honestly.
- Β§14 covers the 6 trophies tied to online play before you assume they'll happen by accident.

G --> H["Human Conditions + No Compromise DLC<br/>Adds 5 more trophies"]
Nothing here is missable β the realistic order is "play the story, do side content as it surfaces, mop up collectibles whenever."
Why this order?
- The Platinum needs zero DLC. All 50 base trophies (including every Main and Side Operation) get you there; Human Conditions and No Compromise are additive, not required.
- Side Operations surface naturally as you play the main story β several are gated behind specific Main Operations (e.g. eKart Challenge unlocks after CyberDriver). There's no benefit to forcing them early.
- Key Data and Research Points are two different pools β collect both as you explore each region rather than treating them as one list; Research Points alone (112) are the site's "too large to enumerate" case, so track them via the in-game Research app rather than a name-by-name checklist.
- The 6 online trophies are casual, not grindy β none require winning, none are missable, and none are difficulty-gated. Still, treat this as a ~10-year-old game with a thinner 2026 population and line up a partner if public matchmaking is quiet.
4. Mechanics Worth Knowing Before You Start
- Key Data vs. Research Points are visually distinct β Key Data cases unlock a specific named skill outright; Research Points (marked by a white skull on a black diamond once scanned) are spent like currency across Marcus's whole skill tree. Don't confuse the two when reading a map.
- The RC Jumper and Quadcopter drones are Marcus's primary infiltration tools β both are needed constantly for Key Data, Garden Gnomes, and ScoutX access, well before any specific quest calls for them.
- Notoriety and Follower count both track progress, but neither gates story missions β they mostly unlock cosmetics and app features.
- eKart Challenge (a Side Operation) is the unlock-gate for the other 6 eKart Races β it's a 3-sub-race scripted event (Stanford/Castro/Downtown Challenges) that must be finished before the standalone eKart courses appear.
- The same dog can be pet 10 times in a row for Doggyland β this is not a 10-location collectible hunt; Pier 39 and Golden Gate Park are the most reliable spawn spots.
- No native PS5/Xbox Series X|S version exists β the game runs via backward compatibility only (Xbox gets an unofficial 60fps FPS Boost at 1080p; PS5 is capped at the original 30fps). This affects performance only, not content.
5. The Master Checklist
| Ledger | Count | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Main Operations | 15 | 53 named sub-missions total (Β§7) |
| Trophies | 56 | 50 base (1 Plat/1 Gold/14 Silver/34 Bronze) + 6 DLC/free-update (Β§6) |
| Side Operations | 22 | Zodiac Killer is separate DLC bonus content, not part of the 22 (Β§9) |
| Key Data | 24 | Each unlocks one named skill outright (Β§10) |
| Research Points | 112 | Skill-tree currency; SF 51 / Oakland 28 / Silicon Valley 19 / Marin 14 (Β§10) |
| ScoutX Sights | 57 | Only 25 needed for the trophy (Β§11) |
| Garden Gnomes | 10 | Plus a laptop trigger and a tent reward (Β§11) |
| Driver SF fares | 18 | Named jobs; infinite random fares exist beyond these (Β§12) |
| Drone Races | 10 | (Β§13) |
| eKart Races | 7 | Including the eKart Challenge unlock-mission (Β§13) |
| Motocross Races | 6 | (Β§13) |
| Online-tied trophies | 6 | Casual, no offline substitute (Β§14) |
6. The Trophy List - All 56
50 base-game trophies (1 Platinum, 1 Gold, 14 Silver, 34 Bronze) get you the Platinum with zero DLC. 6 more come from Human Conditions (4), No Compromise (1), and the free Showd0wn update (1).

8. Narrative Beats, In Brief
Marcus Holloway is a talented young hacker flagged as a future criminal by ctOS's predictive-policing algorithm β a self-fulfilling prophecy that costs him nothing until it does. He joins DedSec's Bay Area cell to prove the system is corrupt from the inside, teaming with Sitara, Wrench, Josh, and returning Watch Dogs 1 hacker Ray "T-Bone" Kenney to run a string of viral hacktivist stunts against Blume and the corporations enabling it β a cult (New Dawn), a smart-home giant (HAUM), a social network (!Nvite), a self-driving car company (Nudle), and a robotics firm (Tidis) all get exposed along the way. The story turns personal when DedSec ally Horatio is murdered by the Tezcas cartel, hardening Marcus's crusade into something less playful, before the game converges on Blume executive DuΕ‘an Nemec and a citywide takedown of the ctOS system that started it all.
9. Side Operations (22)
DedSec storylines outside the main plot, unlocked progressively via the DedSec App. The Zodiac Killer mission is separate Root Access Bundle/Psychedelic Pack DLC bonus content and isn't part of this 22.

Research Points are a different, much larger pool (112 total) spent like currency across Marcus's entire skill tree β marked by a white skull on a black diamond once an area is scanned. Too large and too dependent on active scanning to enumerate as a location checklist; collect them opportunistically as you clear each region rather than chasing a name-by-name list.
| Region | Research Points |
|---|---|
| San Francisco | 51 |
| Oakland | 28 |
| Silicon Valley | 19 |
| Marin | 14 |
| Total | 112 |
11. ScoutX Sights (57) & Garden Gnomes (10)
ScoutX Sights: photograph landmarks via the ScoutX phone app to grow Marcus's follower count. Only 25 of the 57 are needed for Got the Shutterbug. No source assembled a reliable, complete 57-item named list with district assignments that agree with each other β treat this as a photography side-activity to do opportunistically while exploring, not a location checklist to plan around.
Garden Gnomes are a pure easter egg (no trophy) with their own complete, well-sourced 10-item list:
| Gnome | Location |
|---|---|
| (Start trigger) Fisherman's Wharf Laptop | Under the octagonal seafood restaurant β hack the laptop to reveal the gnome map. |
| Tidis Warehouse Doghouse | Marina, north of the Palace of Fine Arts β inside a doghouse by the facility gate. |

| Communal Garden (Painted Ladies) | Rooftop garden near the Painted Ladies row houses. |
| Dolores Park-Area Hot Tub | Mission District rooftop patio, near DedSec's first hackerspace. |
| Oakland Lake Merritt Dock | Requires a boat; gnome sits in a deck chair. |
| (Reward) Gnome Outfit Package | Park southeast of the WKZ TV Station β a hidden tent appears after all 10 are collected. |

14. Online Multiplayer Activities - 6 Trophies
Six trophies touch the phone's Multiplayer app. None are missable, none require winning, and all are casual enough to do solo via public matchmaking β but this is a ~10-year-old game, so line up a partner if the population is thin in 2026 rather than waiting on organic matchmaking.
| Trophy | Mode | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| One of the Gang | Free-roam Co-op DedSec Events | Complete 5 DedSec Events. |
| Natural Born Killer | Bounty Hunter (fugitive role) | Neutralize 1 Hunter while you're the bounty target. |
| Please Marcus, Don't Hurt Them | Bounty Hunter (Hunter role) | Neutralize 5 fugitives, cumulative. |
| Hold My Hand | Co-op Operations | Complete 1 online Co-op Operation. |

Showd0wn is 2v2 competitive PvP rotating through three formats β Steal the HDD, Doomload (King-of-the-Hill), and Erase/Protect the Servers β across unnamed arenas; there's no fixed arena checklist, just the win-streak requirement above.
15. Minor World-Interaction Trophies
Three tiny Bronze trophies cluster with Doggyland as one-off ambient interactions rather than collectibles:
- Doggyland β pet 10 dogs. The same dog can be pet 10 times in a row; Pier 39 and Golden Gate Park are the most reliable spawn spots.
- Hold My Hair β photograph a pedestrian vomiting.
- Photobombed! β get photobombed while taking a selfie.
16. DLC
Season Pass (base game + Season Pass, or the Gold Edition bundle):
- Human Conditions β 3 new Main Operations (Automata, Caustic Progress, Bad Medicine) plus 1 online co-op mission (Off the Hook); introduces the Jammer enemy type. 4 trophies.
- No Compromise β 1 multi-part Operation (Moscow Gambit, 5 sub-objectives) plus outfits/weapons. 1 trophy.
- T-Bone Content Bundle β T-Bone's truck, a Marcus outfit, and the harder "Mayhem" co-op difficulty. 0 trophies.
Free for all owners:
- Showd0wn (added April 2017) β 2v2 competitive PvP. 1 trophy (Β§14).
Cosmetic-only, no trophies, safely skippable for 100%:
- Root Access Bundle β a Zodiac Killer bonus-mission variant, outfits/cars/weapon skins (pre-order/timed PS4-exclusive).
- Psychedelic Pack β another Zodiac Killer mission variant, cosmetics.
17. Appendix - Quick Reference

- Platinum requires zero DLC β all 6 non-base trophies (4 Human Conditions + 1 No Compromise + 1 free Showd0wn) are additive.
- 6 trophies touch online multiplayer β casual and unmissable, but plan for a thin 2026 population (Β§14).
18. Accuracy & Sources
This guide's trophy list (56/56, zero gaps) was recovered directly from the Watch Dogs 2 Fandom wiki's "Achievements and Trophies in Watch Dogs 2" page via its MediaWiki API β the same technique that resolved this series' first guide's trophy list β cross-checked against PowerPyx's roadmap and Steam's own achievement data for app 447040. Two wording conflicts were resolved during cross-checking: Please Marcus, Don't Hurt Them requires neutralizing 5 fugitives, not "5 hunters" as one source had it; The Fox's official description reads "Finish Operation: Shadow" (singular) even though the in-game Side Operation itself is named "Shadows" (plural).
The main-story structure required correcting a scope-pass arithmetic error: an initial "39 missions across 5 Acts (9+18+8+7+1)" framing doesn't even sum to 39 (it sums to 43), and no source reached β Fandom, CheatCC, guides4gamers, Steam's achievement list, or PowerPyx β states a 39-mission/5-Act structure. The reliable, independently-confirmed organizing unit is 15 Main Operations comprising 53 named sub-missions, used throughout this guide instead.
Side Operations' total of 22 is solid, but three sources reach it via three different compositions (one includes the Zodiac Killer as item #20, another treats it as additive, a third substitutes eKart Challenge for it); this guide uses the 22-name list with Zodiac Killer explicitly excluded as DLC bonus content, since that's the composition corroborated by the most sources. Drone Races' source data included an 11th "checklist slot" literally labeled "Drone Races" β the category's own name rather than a real course β treated as a scraping artifact and excluded, leaving the 10 real named courses above.
Where a number is genuinely uncertain β several eKart/Motocross race locations rest on name-based inference rather than a confirmed district, and no source assembled a complete, self-consistent 57-item ScoutX Sights list β this guide says so rather than asserting false precision.
