# Watch Dogs - The Complete 100% Walkthrough

*All 13 ctOS Towers, 16 ctOS Breaches, 46 Fixer Contracts, 18 Criminal Convoys, 15 Gang Hideouts, and all 5 Investigations (51 individual targets). Every trophy, including the Platinum, and Watch Dogs: Bad Blood covered in full. Written for the Watch Dogs Complete Edition on PS4/Xbox One/PC — the only package with the full 100% scope; where the original PS3/Xbox 360 release differs, it's called out.*

## 1. What "100%" Means in Watch Dogs

Aiden Pearce hacked the wrong target, and Chicago's all-seeing ctOS grid got his niece killed for it. Watch Dogs (Ubisoft Montreal, 2014) hands you that grid back as a weapon: profile anyone's phone, raise every drawbridge and traffic light in the city, and turn Chicago's own surveillance state into Aiden's personal one-man war. Nothing here is chapter-linear the way Uncharted or BioShock is — it's an open city with several independent ledgers running in parallel, so this guide treats it like this site's other open-world entries: a main-path walkthrough plus full checklists by district for anything with a genuinely confirmed complete list.

Finishing this guide's ledgers means clearing:

- **43 story-mission entries** (39 numbered missions across 5 Acts, plus 4 mandatory interludes), ending in one automatic post-credits epilogue that sits outside the count.
- **50 trophies** (40 base game: 1 Platinum, 2 Gold, 19 Silver, 18 Bronze — plus 10 more, all Bronze, from the Watch Dogs: Bad Blood DLC).
- **13 ctOS Towers** and **16 ctOS Breaches** — hacking every tower in a district reveals that district's collectibles and side content on the map.
- **46 Fixer Contracts** (40 required for the trophy) across four job types, and **18 Criminal Convoys**.
- **15 Gang Hideouts** across three rival gangs.
- **5 Investigations** (51 individual targets/collectibles between them): Human Traffic, Weapons Trade, Missing Persons, Burner Phones, and QR Codes.
- **30 Privacy Invasions**, **100 City Hotspots**, and **23 SongSneak tracks**.
- **52 Skills** across four trees (137 Skill Points to unlock them all).
- **5 trophies that require live online PvP with no offline substitute** — flagged prominently in §17, because this is a 12-year-old game with a thin, contested population as of 2026.

> **Tip.** Unlike BioShock's one-way levels, Chicago stays fully open and revisitable start to finish — nothing here is missable the way a diary in a sealed level can be. The one real constraint is Little Sister-style permanence: none exists in this game. Play the story at whatever pace you like and mop up side content whenever you pass through a district.

### Spoiler policy

Main missions get a line each below — enough to navigate by, not a retelling. Aiden's family tragedy and the Damien Brenks/Raymond Kenney betrayal arc stay exactly as unspoiled as this guide can leave them.

## 2. How to Use This Guide

Like this site's other open-world guides (Cyberpunk 2077, Just Cause 2), Watch Dogs doesn't use inline collectible badges — there's no fixed route to badge-tag things onto. Instead:

- **The main path** (§7) is a numbered table, one line per mission, grouped by Act.
- **Fixed-location side content with a genuinely confirmed complete list** — ctOS Towers, ctOS Breaches, Fixer Contracts, Criminal Convoys, Gang Hideouts, Investigations, Privacy Invasions, SongSneak — gets a **full checklist table** (§9-§14).
- **Content with an honest total but no reliable per-item list** — City Hotspots' exact per-district split, Skills' full 52-name roster, Chess/Poker/Shell Game table counts, two of the five Digital Trips modes — gets a **category summary** instead of a fabricated checklist (§13, §15, §16). This mirrors how a prior guide on this site handled a ~369-location open-world settlement system it couldn't fully enumerate.
- **§17 is required reading before you chase the Platinum**: five trophies need a live human opponent, and this game's population is thin in 2026.

    I --> J(["PLATINUM"])
    J --> K["Watch Dogs: Bad Blood DLC - 10 more trophies"]
```
Figure: Nothing here locks you out of anything else — nothing here is missable the way a story-gated level can be elsewhere. The realistic bottleneck is entirely §17's online trophies, which is why they're pushed to the end: line up a partner before you need one.
**Why this order?**
1. **Chicago never closes.** Every district, every ctOS Tower, every side-content category stays available before and after the credits — there's no equivalent of BioShock's one-way levels here, so cleanup can happen whenever suits you.
2. **Hack each district's ctOS Tower(s) as you reach it.** Doing so reveals that district's Fixer Contracts, Gang Hideouts, Criminal Convoys, Privacy Invasions and Investigation targets on the map — trying to find them blind first is needlessly hard.
3. **Bank Skill Points as you go; Freeware (all 52 Skills) is a late-game trophy regardless.** It takes roughly Level 50 worth of Skill Points to afford everything, so there's no way to rush it — just don't neglect side content, since XP from Fixer Contracts, Convoys and Hideouts all feed the same pool.
4. **Save the 5 online trophies for last and treat them as their own project.** They need a live opposing player with no bot/offline substitute, and as of 2026 the population is thin enough that most players now arrange a partner via forums/Discord rather than relying on public matchmaking (§17). Doing this early risks getting stuck mid-run; doing it as a deliberate, scheduled session works.
5. **Bad Blood is a genuinely separate campaign.** Its own ~10-mission T-Bone story and 10 DLC trophies sit outside the base game's 40 — play it whenever, before or after the base Platinum.
## 4. Mechanics Worth Knowing Before You Start
- **The Profiler** overlays a threat/notability readout on every NPC and vehicle in view — this is how Aiden spots Investigation targets, in-progress crimes, and SongSneak-eligible pedestrians. Get used to holding the profile button as you walk; most side content is found by profiling, not by sight.
- **ctOS Towers gate district visibility, not district access.** You can walk into any district immediately, but its Fixer Contracts, Gang Hideouts, Convoys, Privacy Invasions and Investigation targets won't appear on the map until that district's tower(s) are hacked. Pawnee is the one district with no tower at all (it has a ctOS Hub instead) — its content is visible from the story mission that opens the area.
- **Hacking is environmental, not just a minigame.** Traffic lights, steam pipes, bridges, and blackout boxes are all one-button hacks used constantly in combat and traversal — raise a bridge behind a pursuing car, drop a steam pipe on a chasing enemy, or kill power to an area to force patrols into flashlight mode.
- **Notoriety is separate from Chaos-style progress systems in other open-world games** — it rises from crimes/kills the police witness and unlocks 5 automatic "Notoriety Skills" at fixed thresholds (500/2,000/5,000/7,500/10,000). These are **not** part of the 52-skill/137-point Freeware requirement.
- **Six skills have a non-Skill-Point prerequisite** on top of their point cost: Critical Focus (1 Criminal Convoy), Maximized Focus (10 Chess puzzles), Quick Switch (1 Crime Detection stop), Rapid Reload (5 Gang Hideouts), Offensive Driver (5 Fixer Contracts), and **Auto Weapons Expert**, which requires reaching Level 5 in NVZN — the multiplayer Decryption-style mode. That's a second, separate multiplayer touchpoint beyond §17's five trophies, worth knowing about before you assume Freeware is a purely single-player trophy.
- **Old-gen (PS3/Xbox 360) is missing content.** Those versions ship without the Free Roam and Decryption multiplayer modes and carry a smaller achievement/trophy list than current-gen — they cannot support this guide's checklist. Target PS4/Xbox One/PC.
- **Steam achievement support didn't exist for a decade.** Ubisoft only added 49 PC achievements in February 2025, with no Platinum-equivalent — PC completionists are chasing a slightly different, unofficial "100%" than the console Platinum.
> **Warning.** Five trophies (§17) require a live human opponent via public online matchmaking, with **no offline, NPC, or bot substitute of any kind**. As of this research (August 2026), Ubisoft has not issued an official shutdown notice for PS4/Xbox One/PC, but community threads describe the population as thin and matchmaking as unstable. Read §17 before you assume these will just happen naturally over a normal playthrough.
## 8. Narrative Beats, In Brief
Aiden Pearce is a Chicago hacker-vigilante whose freelance hack of the wrong target got his niece Lena killed in retaliation — the game opens with him already deep into a personal war against ctOS, the city-wide surveillance system built by Blume Corporation. Chasing the men responsible for the hit leads Aiden through a rotating cast of allies and enemies: hacktivist Clara Lille, corrupt ctOS architect Damien Brenks, elusive black-hat "Defalt," and Aiden's own sister Nicky and nephew Jackson, whom he keeps failing to actually protect despite everything the city's cameras let him see coming. The Pawnee arc introduces fixer Raymond "T-Bone" Kenney (protagonist of the Bad Blood DLC) and Blume's own internal rot, before the story converges on Brenks' plan to weaponize ctOS itself — a fight that costs Aiden nearly everyone he set out to save, and ends with the very human choice of what to do with the man who started it all.
---
## 9. ctOS Towers (13) & ctOS Breaches (16)
Hacking a district's tower(s) reveals every other collectible/side-content category in that district on the map. Pawnee has no tower — only a scripted, one-off tower hack during the Act III story mission "Hope Is a Sad Thing."
### ctOS Towers
| Tower | District | Access notes |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Pequino Village Tower | Parker Square | Forklift-lowered crates, rooftop parkour, then AC units to the hack point. |
| Hill Park Tower | Parker Square | Ladder climb; hack CCTV cameras along the route to open locked doors. |
| Franklin Tower | Mad Mile | On a small island in the river — approach by boat; street access is fenced off. |
| River East Tower | Mad Mile | Ground-level switch box opens access; straightforward climb. |
| Gold Coast Tower | Mad Mile | Hack through a server room en route to the roof. |
| Theater Square Tower | The Loop | Scissor lift; cycle through several hacked cameras to unlock doors. |
| South Side Campus Tower | The Loop | Alley scissor lift, then a stairwell climb. |
| Riverside Tower | The Loop | Ladder access, then climb AC units. |
| Calumet Market Tower | Brandon Docks | Construction lift, then roof-to-roof navigation. |
| Des Monts Canal Tower | Brandon Docks | Scissor lift, then cross a metal bridge. |
| Lake Shore Tower | Brandon Docks | Hack the stacking crane to drop a container into place, or launch a vehicle onto the roof. |
| Woodpark West Tower | The Wards | Ladder to the rail line; explode a canister to clear the path. |
| Rossi-Fremont Tower | The Wards | Scissor lift + AC-unit climb; a dual-switch hack opens the final door. |
### ctOS Breaches
## 12. Investigations (51)
Five separate questlines; completing all 5 sub-trophies awards **They Call Him The Vigilante**. Where a target's exact district wasn't confirmed by research, it's marked rather than guessed.
### Human Traffic - 11 (trophy: Revoking Client Privileges)
10 buyer/briefcase targets plus a final mission against ringleader Joseph DeMarco. Unlocks after Act II's "A Risky Bid"; 10 completions unlock the Magnate LE.
Confirmed districts (7 of 10): Francis T. Barrthes (The Wards), Paul Benedict Henfield (Parker Square), Anton Chenkov (Parker Square), Carl Breenwood (Mad Mile), Adolpho C. Peccorino (The Loop), David R. Treaklesen (Brandon Docks), Joshua Kramer (Brandon Docks). Three targets — Darius Peaston, Martin Graften, Gregory Foydalem — have no confirmed district in any source reached; expect them to surface via the Profiler as you clear the other seven.
### Weapons Trade - 10 (trophy: Saturday Night Special)
9 weapon crates plus a final warehouse fight against Fixers/Enforcers (crate #10 itself is earned by winning that fight — it's not an 11th separate item). 9 crates unlock the silenced Spec Ops Goblin.
| District | Crates |
| --- | --- |
| The Loop | 3 (Western Garage; Traffic Tunnel Garage; Farris Halstead Library Station alley) |
| Brandon Docks | 2 (VessalMart Garage; Parkfield Station Garage) |
| Mad Mile | 2 (L-Train Garage; Parking Lot Garage near coffee shop) |
| Parker Square | 1 (garage, SE area) |
| The Wards | 1 (Jay's Garage, north side) |
### Missing Persons - 6 + final mission (trophy: Darkness Looms)
Serial killer Edgar Noone ("the Fingerpaint Killer") targets women with hemophilia; caught at Pawnee Trailer Park after "Hope Is a Sad Thing." Confirmed victims (4 of 6): Kate Quigley (Parker Square), Claudette Rousseau (Brandon Docks), Chelsea Armstrong (Brandon Docks, under a bridge), Debora Ingram (Harbor Lighthouse). Two victims remain unlocated in every source reached.
### Burner Phones - 8 (trophy: Sanity Check)
Left behind by Maurice Vega; all 8 appear as map icons once their district's tower is hacked. 7 completions unlock the Vespid LE.
| # | Location |
| --- | --- |
| 1 | Parker Square — May Stadium locker room |
| 2 | The Wards — right guard tower, Rossi-Fremont courtyard |
| 3 | Brandon Docks — 2nd-floor desk, warehouse east side |
| 4 | Brandon Docks — dirty mattress, warehouse south side |
| 5 | The Loop — bed near Tobias' Shop |
| 6 | Pawnee — roof behind the "MOTEL" sign, Crazy Moose Inn |
| 7 | Pawnee Trailer Park — balcony of a dark-blue trailer next to a red one with a pink umbrella |
| 8 | Pawnee — shack with shutters at a boat shop, south side |
### QR Codes - 16 + final mission (trophy: Read-Only)
Left by DedSec-linked hacker "G1gg1L3s"; each code must be scanned from a specific camera angle. The final mission breaches G1gg1L3s' firewall and rewards the **"Gangster" submachine gun** — not the Tommy Gun, which is a separate, unrelated Season Pass/pre-order item (both are cosmetic variants of the same base SMG model, which is the likely source of the mix-up between the two).
| District | Codes |
| --- | --- |
| The Loop | 4 (Hollenkamp Station; Highway Fork; Ambrose Theatre Alley; east of Western Station) |
| Brandon Docks | 4 (Smokestacks; west of river; Northern Island; north of Eastern Canal) |
| Mad Mile | 3 (St. Valentine's Landmark; Central; Train Tracks/Water Tower) |
| Parker Square | 2 (South; east of Phoebus Theater) |
| The Wards | 2 (Dam; West) |
| Pawnee | 1 (Bridge Tunnel entrance) |
## 13. Privacy Invasions (30) & City Hotspots (100)
**Privacy Invasions:** hack an exterior router (sometimes two), then the resident's phone, to play a short vignette about a Chicago stranger's life. All 30 award **Peephole**.
| Range | District |
| --- | --- |
| #1-5 | Parker Square |
| #6-10 | The Wards |
| #11-12 | Brandon Docks |
| #13-22 | The Loop |
| #23-30 | Mad Mile |
Notable ones: **#1** (Parker Square, near a church) has two boxes on separate houses; **#16** is inside Loop City Hall's north foyer; **#22** is an art gallery in Millennium Park; **#27** runs through the pedestrian tunnel under John Hancock Center. Pawnee has none — it has no ctOS towers either.
**City Hotspots:** press a button to check in at 100 fixed history plaques citywide, unlocking a line of real/fictionalized Chicago lore each. Awards **Geolocated**. This is a **plain proximity check-in, not a phone-camera scan** — some summaries describe it as AR-camera content, but that's Watch Dogs 2's mechanic, not this game's.
| District | Hotspots (working split — sources vary by ±1-2 per district) |
| --- | --- |
| The Loop | 37 |
| Mad Mile | 23 |
| The Wards | 14 |
| Pawnee | 12 |
| Parker Square | 8 |
| Brandon Docks | 6 |
The exact per-district assignment isn't reliably corroborated across sources (three independent extractions disagreed by 1-3 hotspots per district), so this guide states the total (100, solid) and a working split rather than a fabricated exhaustive 100-name index. Two commonly-missed spots on a near-complete run: the Farris Halstead Library check-in icon in Parker Square (often obscured by an overlapping Criminal Convoy map icon) and the Harbor Lighthouse on the small offshore island east of the map, reachable only by boat.
## 14. SongSneak Playlist (23)
Profile a radio, speaker, vehicle, or pedestrian and hold the scan to add a track to Aiden's playlist. All 23 award **Disk Space Full**. Three unlock automatically from story missions; three are hack-only with no fixed venue; the rest recur at venue types citywide rather than one single address each.
## 15. Skills (52 / 137 Skill Points)
Organized into 4 trees; unlocking all 52 awards the Gold trophy **Freeware**. This typically lands late — reaching roughly Level 50 is what it takes to bank 137 points.
| Tree | Skills | Skill Points |
| --- | ---: | ---: |
| Hacking | 20 | 45 |
| Combat | 18 | 60 |
| Crafted Items | 8 | 13 |
| Driving | 6 | 19 |
| **Total** | **52** | **137** |
Excluded from this total: **5 Notoriety Skills**, which unlock automatically at 500/2,000/5,000/7,500/10,000 Notoriety rather than being purchased. Six of the 52 also carry a non-Skill-Point prerequisite: Critical Focus (1 Criminal Convoy), Maximized Focus (10 Chess puzzles), Quick Switch (1 Crime Detection stop), Rapid Reload (5 Gang Hideouts), Offensive Driver (5 Fixer Contracts), and Auto Weapons Expert (Level 5 in the NVZN multiplayer mode — the one Freeware prerequisite that touches multiplayer).
## 16. City Games, Crime Detection & Digital Trips
**City Games** (trophy: **Power Cycle**, just participate in 5 of the 5 types — win/loss doesn't matter): Slot Machine and Drinking Game each have a confirmed citywide total of **3** (Parker Square/Mad Mile/Brandon Docks; The Loop/The Wards/Pawnee respectively — Drinking Game additionally needs level 10 against all 3 for **Social Lubricant**). Chess, Poker, and Shell Game have no published citywide total anywhere — every source describes them only as "several tables around the city." Don't chase a number that doesn't exist; participating once at any table of each of the 5 types is all Power Cycle needs.
**Crime Detection** (trophy: **Enforcer**, stop 20 confirmed criminals): an unlimited, procedurally-respawning event system with no finite total and no location list — it's designed to never run out. Profile pedestrians as you move through the city and intervene in whatever the system flags; 20 stops is a matter of time, not a checklist.
**Digital Trips** are 5 purely cosmetic/score arcade minigames accessed via phone or a "Digital Trip Dealer" NPC, tied to no trophy — none of them affect the Platinum, only outfit unlocks and leaderboard scores:
| Mode | Genre | Sub-content |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Spider-Tank (base) | Mech shooter, Mad Mile | 15 timed sub-missions |
| Alone (base) | Stealth "ghost city," The Loop | ~20 generators to hack (estimate, not primary-confirmed) |
| Psychedelic (base) | Rhythm/platforming, scattered | 17 named tracks |
| Madness (base) | Vehicular demon-hunting, citywide | ~29 phases (estimate — may not be a fixed count) |
| Conspiracy! (Season Pass DLC) | Cyborg-hunting | 16 levels, 105 targets |
## 17. Online Multiplayer Requirements - Read This First
Five base-game trophies need a **live human opponent via public matchmaking, with no offline, NPC, or bot substitute found in any source**:
| Trophy | Requirement | Offline path? |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Hackification | 10 successful Online Hacking invasions, as the invader | None |
| Piggyback | 10 successful Online Tailing observations, as the invader | None |
| Stealth Cookie | 1 of those 10 completed fully undetected | None |
| Superhighway | 10 completed Public Online Races (finishing is enough — you don't need to win) | None |
| Traced | Be successfully tailed by other players 5 times (passive/target role) | None |
Key facts: **friend-invited private sessions do not count** toward Hackification or Piggyback — the public matchmaking queue is mandatory. All five need an active PlayStation Plus / Xbox Live Gold subscription on console. This is a 12-year-old game with a shrunken population — live community threads (dated within days of this guide's research, August 2026) show players still actively organizing manual boosting partners for exactly these trophies, alongside reports of unstable/partial online connectivity, and a "[2026] Online Fix" community guide documents a workaround for reactivating online-service flags on a Steam account. **Recommendation: treat these five as their own project.** Arrange a partner in advance via forums/Discord/LFG posts rather than assuming public matchmaking will simply work when you get there, and don't wait until they're the last thing standing between you and the Platinum.
Bad Blood's **T-Bone: Tag Team** (10 co-op missions) is a separate online touchpoint in the DLC — see §18.
---
## 18. Watch Dogs: Bad Blood DLC
A standalone story expansion starring fixer Raymond "T-Bone" Kenney, set one year after the base campaign. Adds no changes to the base game's own content — it's an entirely separate ~10-mission campaign, plus:
- **Street Sweep**, a repeatable contract system (playable solo or in online co-op) split across three factions — Chicago South Club, Militia, and Fixers — each with its own 20-contract completion trophy.
- New side investigations, including **Fox Hunt** and **A Council of Daves**.
- **5 more Fixer-Contract-style missions**, entirely separate from and not counted in the base game's 46/40 Fixer Contract figures.
- Its own 10-trophy list (§6), all Bronze, sitting outside the base game's 40.
---
## 19. Appendix - Quick Reference
- **Totals:** 43 story-mission entries (39 numbered + 4 interludes) · 50 trophies (40 base + 10 Bad Blood) · 13 ctOS Towers · 16 ctOS Breaches · 46 Fixer Contracts (40 required) · 18 Criminal Convoys · 15 Gang Hideouts · 51 Investigation targets across 5 questlines · 30 Privacy Invasions · 100 City Hotspots · 23 SongSneak tracks · 52 Skills / 137 Skill Points.
- **Online-only, no offline path:** Hackification, Piggyback, Stealth Cookie, Superhighway, Traced (§17) — plan for these separately.
- **Target edition:** Complete Edition, PS4/Xbox One/PC. Old-gen (PS3/Xbox 360) is missing multiplayer modes and has a smaller trophy list — it cannot support this checklist.
## 20. Accuracy & Sources
This guide was researched in two passes: an initial sweep across every major category, followed by a targeted gapfill once the first pass flagged the trophy list itself as unresolved. Every major trophy-tracking site (PSNProfiles, TrueTrophies, TrueAchievements, XboxAchievements) blocked automated access throughout — directly and through an r.jina.ai reader-proxy workaround — so the confirmed 50-trophy list rests on convergence across the Watch Dogs Fandom wiki (read via its MediaWiki API, which worked without blocking), PushSquare's original May 2014 PS4 launch guide, and ps4trophiesgaming.com, cross-checked against Steam's own live 49-achievement page (39 base-named achievements + 10 "T-Bone:"-prefixed Bad Blood ones).
One trophy remains genuinely disputed: **Beer Belcher** ("complete all drinking games," beyond Social Lubricant's level-10 requirement) appears only on the Fandom wiki, with a specific cited Gamerscore value (30G) that argues for its authenticity — but three independent non-wiki launch guides all list a clean, self-consistent 40-trophy base game with no such entry, and that 40-trophy count is what matches the aggregate stat lines reported by PSNProfiles/Exophase/TrueTrophies. This guide excludes it from the confirmed 50 on that 3-to-1 majority, but flags it here rather than silently deciding either way — a live PSNProfiles/Exophase page render (blocked throughout this research) would settle it definitively.
Other conflicts resolved during research: the Investigations grand total was contested at 51 vs. 52 depending on whether Weapons Trade has 10 or 11 items — resolved to 10 (the warehouse fight *is* how crate #10 is obtained, not an 11th item), fixing the grand total at 51. The QR Codes final reward was resolved from "Tommy Gun" to **"Gangster"** SMG after checking both weapons' own wiki infobox pages directly — the Tommy Gun is a separate Season Pass/pre-order item. The scope-pass's Act III/IV split (6/8) was corrected to the verified 7/7 via a structural cross-check of each mission page's prev/next chain, which also caught and excluded a Bad Blood DLC mission ("Ghosts") sharing a same-named "Act III" category tag.
What's still open, stated here rather than smoothed over: City Hotspots' exact per-district split (three sources gave three different breakdowns, though the total of 100 is solid); ctOS Breach #16's landmark name; four of Human Traffic's ten buyer targets and two of Missing Persons' six victims have no confirmed district in any source reached; the Alone and Madness Digital Trip sub-counts (~20 generators, ~29 phases) are secondary-sourced estimates, not primary-confirmed; and SongSneak's 17 non-story venue placements are reconstructed from search-snippet synthesis rather than a direct read of the two primary community threads that would settle them, both of which were Cloudflare-blocked throughout this research.
